Fitting the shelf
-
Use the provided templates to mark holes on the wall for drilling. Please use the correct template for each shelf, as different sizes of shelves have different sized templates.
-
Drill a hole for the supplied wall plugs and then use the supplied screws to attach brackets to the wall.
-
Ensure small screws on the brackets are at the bottom. Then, check to make sure the shelf can slide on. If the shelf is not level, you can loosen the wall screws and slide the brackets up or down and then retighten.
-
The centre support that slides into the shelf can be adjusted left or right to get perfect alignment. To do this, loosen it with provided screwdriver bit and tighten up again when in the correct position.
-
You can adjust the tilt of the shelf by adjusting the small screws on the bottom of the brackets. Screw them both in deeper on each bracket to tilt the shelf upwards, and loosen them all to tilt the shelf downwards.
Please be aware of any electric, gas, or water pipes when screwing/drilling into your walls.
Please remember that these floating shelves are not designed for any heavy weight, so do not use them to pull yourself up or to stand on.
The weight load of the shelves will be severely reduced if using them on a plasterboard wall instead of a brick wall. If possible, try to get into a wooden batten.
